Billy was a wonderful guy. We met in Brooklyn NY when he worked in the local supermarket. He was always very much a gentleman. I will never forget how he made me feel when I was with him. One day he gave me a stuffed bunny. To someone else this would be just a stuffed animal, but to me it was my diamond. He was my first love and I have never stopped loving him. Anyone who knew him could tell you how brave and strong he was. He died the way he lived - a true soldier of valor. I will always have the flame in my heart burning for you, Billy. Rest in Peace.

Billy, 36 years later we still miss you. Remember when you visited me in Chu Lai when we found out that we both were assigned to the Americal Division? That was the last time that I saw you. I didn't find out what happened until I returned home in April. When I visit Tony we still talk of you. God Bless from Ronnie, Carol B, Tony, Jo-Ann, Deborah, Terry B, Carol, G, and all your friends from the Cave and the Pit.
From a friend. |
I was the driver of the track right behind those guys and I will never forget them. God bless their souls.
