George Edward McCrobie - "Moose" - was what it meant to be a Marine. There was no better Marine then George, this I can attest to. He is surely missed and will be forever remembered by all that he touched. God bless you, Moose. See you on the other side, Van.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 23 Feb 1967, during Operation DESOTO, SSgt Randall E. Walker of St Louis, Missouri, assigned to Lima Company, 3/7 Marines, was killed and Cpl George E. McCrobie wounded during a patrol along the railroad west of Duc Pho. Cpl McCrobie died from his wounds later the same day.
