A Note from The Virtual Wall

In early February 1967 the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry, was attached to the 196th Infantry Brigade for operations along the Cambodian border. In the early afternoon of 05 Feb, Company "A" engaged an enemy force in a firefight that lasted several hours and cost the lives of three soldiers:
  • SSG James E. Bostock, Endicott, NY
  • PFC Joseph M. Brady, Weston, WV (Dist Svc Cross)
  • PFC Henry R. Lopez, Joliet, IL
