I met this Marine as a recruit when he was a Staff Sergeant and was the Drill Instructor Platoon Commander for Platoon #267 at MCRD San Diego. That was in August of 1965. I found out that "Andy" had taken a promotion to an officer level, and was assigned to a Tank Battalion in Vietnam. It was not until many years after his death that I found out he died and some details of his death. Semper Fi, Marine, you have served your Country well.
